Hey guys,

So my site is being cached incorrectly. It just says it doesn't match any documents. I am absolutely confused!! Also, I am running thesis and I tried to set my footer link to my google sitemap but it keeps going to a sub-directory of my web page. If somebody could pm me and take a look at my site I would appreciate it Tremendously. I just dont know where to go from here, and I don't know what to do. Thanks guys.

Ryan

Go into your wordpress general settings and make sure that you have allowed Google to actually index/crawl your pages. Some plugins might change that setting. It happened to me on more than one occasion. the moment you change it, you'll see crawl activity start to happen.

    Good luck!

This is a common thing that lots of people experience. I've heard that it was a glitch with Google but I have noticed that once my pages get a couple decent backlinks the cache works properly. I think they probably don't cache results unless there is reason to demonstrate that it has significant popularity to do so. Just what I've seen through my own results.

I wouldn't worry about it though. Keep working on building your site and your backlinks and things will take care of themselves.

You may want to activate Google Webmaster tools in your Google account, add your blog and verify it. You can then submit your sitemap and that will help Google to index it properly.

Here's a video on Webmaster Tools - and at the bottom in the related articles is one on how to verify a WordPress site:
