I can't believe this one. A friend of mine, no not me I swear, just had his adwords account, that he set up a month ago, banned.

But here's the thing...............he never ran any ads!!!

    Could it be that your friend's credit card expired and Google thought he was trying to game the system?

    Google never tells you why you're banned (or suspended).

      No his credit card is good and he selected post pay not pre pay. He never even submitted an ad to run.

    Top tip for ya: Whatever you do, don't build a business that depends solely on Google, be it Adsense, Adwords or Youtube (Yep, they own that too).

    Because it's only a matter of time before they ban you for something silly

    Trust me I know. I got banned 6 month ago and my business was Adwords dependent and it really screwed things up for me.

    Take it from me, see it as a blessing in disguise and move on and get your traffic from somewhere else

      True, never build a business where you don't have the control, because anytime they can take take it away. There are some who are already making thousands of dollars per month and google creates a new rule and they start banning old websites and campaigns.

    I got my account banned during the December Inquisition,..........its not me I'm talking about.

    This guy, my friend, is a florist that weanted to run some simple adwords ads. He never got around to starting because he was busy.

    How in God's name do you ban some one who never submitted an ad to be run?

    Its abosolutely f#$%ing incredible.........I'm still in shock

    Adwords isn't worth it anyway from my experience. People will click the organic results 9 times out of 10...or more.

      AdWords is very powerful... if you know how to use it properly.

    Google is unreasonable, but I would think that in this instance that if he wanted his account he could get it back. Obviously if he hasn't used it, then he can not have commited any infractions. People have managed to get their accounts reinstated before, so I would think this instance is one that would qualify.

    Your friend can take it lying down or try to get it back. There is nothing to lose.

    Towards the end of my ban, they was getting more and more awkard with me.

    What was working without a hitch 6 month before my ban was starting to stop my ads from running ...And without any explanation.

    It just a shame that Google rule the internet, I wish someone would just take them down a peg or two
