Guys,

Is there anyone find success with dofollow blog commenting for SEO?

I tried a lot, but there are lots and lots of pending for approval comments specially from .aspx pages....

Do you guys have any list of dofollow blogs list or find with google "notify me..."command?

cheers,
Amenda

Don't make spammy posts, however. Post something relevant, at least a few sentences, to the topic of the post you're commenting on. This benefits the blog owner and it benefits you because you get the link when they approve your post. "Free Miley Cyrus CDs" may not get her post approved if her post is meaningless.

Me too used Kahuna, but no more success, only the time is wasted with it.

I have found some good places where to post... again, it might depend on the niche.
Sorry it doesn't work for you.

I couldn't agree more. I don't know how many people I've told exactly this and then I find out they commented on 100 blog posts with "cool" or "bookmarked" and whine that their comments don't get approved.

Blog commenting is not going to get you anywhere, even if they are followed they have very little value.

This is true. It does help but it's very little compared to having, say, a one way inbound link in the middle of a large body of unique content, which you won't get by request but more so if you have good content and somebody decides to link to you as reference.

Exactly, another thing to consider is maybe getting involved with some blogs in your niche without links first, then after some time goes by and you have established yourself as an authority try and see if you can do a guest blog for the site. This would help the owner of the blog and yourself a lot more by providing the other owner with a great piece (or great pieces if you establish a good relationship) and you are going to get a much better links out of it.

Blog commenting is about more than linkjuice. Its a marketing opportunity, a chance to name drop or to convince people to do a google search for your dropped name or term. It has great value, mostly financial.

I was responding to what the OP asked:

But what you are saying is true to an extent. That goes along with my point though about becoming an active/contributing member (goes the same for niche forums, btw.) In the end you will get much more out of it then just dropping a stupid comment with a name like 'weight loss' and hoping it will help you rank or get you known by people interested in your niche.

I still wouldn't say it has great value though because for it to be effective you need to spend a lot of time in those areas. It is good for people starting out trying to prove themselves in a niche, but once you have built up some authority there are much better ways to promote your site.

If you find related blogs with high page rank will give a benefit. Try to find auto approve blog comment pages. Here I have attached one of own blog list.

In my opinion you need do follow blogs which haven't been swamped by other IM's, this normally means finding blogs which haven't got auto-approval and writing a cogent thoughtful comment.

Commenting on these type of blogs did have an effect for me; in contrast when I re-engineered the links of a competitor and commented on 30+ blogs which were auto-approval and where there were 300 + comments on each post, these links had zero effect.

The answer to this should be obvious.

    e-medicalarticles.com - PR0
    financeandmoneyarticles.com - PR2
    healtharticlescentral.com - PR1

  • I prefer to do forum instead of blog. As it is help me to increase my knowledge and to generate backlink. Though blog commenting does help in one or the other way that is in backlink or traffic.

I have been trying to do a whole lot of backlinking lately, but based on what others have said I think I'll try to avaid the blog commenting, unless it has a good page rank.

I think I'm going to start writing articles and see where that gets me.

I think if you have a range of sources for your backlinks, articles, forums, social media, blogs then that is better than just one type.

I've had fair success with dofollow commenting, specifically on blogs that use the Keywordluv plugin. I use Scrapebox to find the high PR ones, but then manually filter and verify each. I only ever post comments manually, and only on topics that I feel I can contribute to (I don't worry about relevence to my own sites). I use an RSS aggregator to combine the feeds of the best blogs and check for new posts daily. Blog commenting is an integral and useful part of my overall SEO strategy.

ON the topic of blog commenting, I believe they still cary value. and is also very important to comment on a blog relevant to the website you are promoting. Almost no use in commenting on a pregnancy blog for instance if you website is about super cars.

I disagree. Although in an ideal world you would comment on related blogs, those of us promoting micro niche sites would have a difficult time finding blogs related to "4 slice chrome toasters".

Personally I target Keywordluv blogs, because it gives me relevant anchor text, which IMHO is far more important than the topic of the blog post you're commenting on. It also means that there are far more potential "targets" for my commenting than if I were to limit myself to the one or two (or maybe zero) that are dedicated to the topic of my own site.

I don't see why we should avoid commenting on blogs, if you know where to look at and when to comment you could get direct traffic as well as quality links that will help your website rank higher in the search engines...

Blog commenting definitely works but not if you're going to leave a comment that's worthless saying something like "way to go"

You can leave comments on blogs that don't auto approve and benefit from them, but they'll only get accepted if you leave a comment the owner of the blog believes actually has some value.

Over time you should be able to create lists of do-follow blogs that you can go back to. It's not the easiest link types out there because of all the Spam. I have a do-follow blog and despite it only being a PR 2, I get at least 10-15 complete and utter Spam comments per day

Personally, Blog commenting is a good way for PR and backlinks. But I don't go for blogs with low pr or 'too much of comments'. I tried to get good comments from popular blogs with good PR and it worked all the time. It still works, there is no doubt about the link juice that can be passed from good PR blog comments.

I search out 'dofollow' blog comments to leave a comprehensive post. My hope isn't so much for the link juice, but other readers who like my post will click my name and navigate to my website.

However, when I see 100's of useless comments (like the dofollow blog lists people are supplying in this thread), I get turned off and find someplace else to comment.

I feel the quality of the comment matters more more in the long run than the backlink does.

A while ago blog commenting was very useful for SERPs and for traffic. Recently I've found it to be such a waste fo time that I no longer use it.

You may find blog commenting to be more useful for your niche but this is my personal experience.

I have the worst luck with blogs these days. One reason I think is people spamming with automated programs it tends to get overwhelming to webmasters. It is nothing for blogs to get hundreds of spam comments to 1 semi decent comment.

I recommend if you are going to take the time to comment be sure to add value to the webmasters posts and make sure your comment sticks out as not PURE spam. Be specific etc.
