Well, since none of the wizards are going to answer this thread , I'll jump in with some anecdotal results from a test Slate did using a spoof commercial they ran on late night TV.

    Here's a link...

They spent around $1300 for the ad-spend (not including the cost of the video) and got around 1000+ people to go to their website. Roughly $1.30 per person. The ad was shown 54 times across 4 networks which worked out to around 1.3 million views (assuming anybody actually watched ).

    Your milage may vary...

Thanks for that Bill, it was a real eye-opener.

I am now considering buying a 30 second advert of me scratching my arse and showing it across the states. I could just show me sat there watching TV and finish with me scratching and the line "Because I can". Actually I may just go and see if that domain is available... Because I can (dot) com LOL!! Then sell them a guide teaching them to use Google TV adverts.

However, here is a great plan for some of you reading this. Local bands would pay big money to get on the TV even for 30 seconds, and I bet there is a fortune to be made being the middle man/woman that makes it happen.

    Cheers,

As internet marketers we base everything on keyword relevancy right ... Google might seem cool, but it is like taking a step back to newspapers ads; not targeted at all! You just hope that someone interested in your particular niche happens to see your ad.

Google TV ads, not for me.

Imagine that you are in the dog training niche... because we ALWAYS imagine that we are in the dog training niche.

Is anyone, anywhere, who ISN'T interested in the dog training niche... watching agility trials on Animal Planet?
