Hey everyone!

I'm in the process of moving content from my old site to the new one. I want to do 301 redirects for specific URLs to specific pages and not just the domain itself.

Is there a way to do this? I'm using godaddy as the registrar and hostgator is hosting the new site.

Thanks!

Adam

You can do most redirects with code in a .htaccess file in your webroot folder

ex. create a .htaccess file (if it doesn't exist yet) & place this code in it:

    redirect 301 /old/oldpage.htm http://www.newdomain.com/newpage.htm

to redirect one page to another URL. You can have many such lines in the file.
Search for .htaccess if more complex situations are required.
