Hey Guys and Gals,

Would someone mind explaining how to go about using a proxy server(s) to create web 2.0 properties for link wheels/link building etc...?

I tried to create a weebly page through vectroproxy but was unsuccessful as the sign-up button won't work when i use vectro. Is there something else I need to be doing?

Thanks! Rob

Link Wheels - you shouldn't use. This is against G's policies and they will catch on to these link wheel schemes.

Thanks for the response. I thought as long as I could create some quality properties with some decent content that this was a fairly legit method of building backlinks...

What is your take on services like Linkvana and Blog Blueprint?

Any time you are using free proxies, you are taking chances. The greater question would be, "Why are you using a proxy for weebly in the first place?" There is actually no need for proxies if you are manually setting up that phase of your network properly.

Is this another comical or rhetorical response to a genuine SEO question? Link wheels are against Google's policy?

        You're kidding right?

Link wheels happen one of two ways; intentionally or through osmosis. Either way - they happen. If they were against Google's TOS, they would have to shut themselves down because...

        Google has Link Wheels!

The Internet is a great big interconnected link wheel.

Proceed forward with your plans. Just be intelligent in how you build your network. Mix up the Web 2.0 properties with your own sites, free hosting, cheap hosting, blogger accts, wordpress accts, etc., and avoid leaving footprints.

To answer your question about subscription services, you have to understand how they work before you can answer the question are they right for YOU at the moment.

As far as LV is concerned, you become a subscriber and gain access to their personal network of blogs to post your content on.

You can personally provide the content (in other words, you write it yourself). Or, you can pay for someone to create it for you. To make LV work, you really need to steadily post content. On average, at least 300 to 500 posts per month per site.

So you have to ask yourself the question, "Can I write that much content?" If not, your next question is, "Am I prepared to pay someone to write posts for me?" Bare in mind, if you opt for the latter, you will be paying your monthly LV subscription PLUS the cost of the content.
