2010 Adwords to Optin Strategy

Looks like this year a lot of websites got majorly slapped due to the low quality score or the direct response and data collection pages.

Does anyone know a valid strategy that works right now in order to drive people to the website and collect their email?

Thank you

Just drop an email form on the page (or in the post if using WP).

Google just doesn't like sites that provide no value, and only exist to capture email addresses. On the other hand, you can Just give good information up-front and at the bottom drop a form in there saying "Complete the form below to get _____"

Standard squeeze pages are too salesly, and they don't let people search through the site. Google hates this... and this is why using Wordpress is good for Google QS. It lists recent posts and categories in the sidebar. Just give good information up-front, and the people who do optin will be much more qualified. You don't want to build a list of crappy prospects anyways

Have optin box with a video next to it offering a freebie. Underneath have a link along the lines of "or continue onto website". Keeps google happy and conversion high.
