The other day I solicited some trackbacks for an article.
Day 1 - 6 trackbacks links appear
Day 2 - 50 trackbacks links appear
Day 3 - almost 300 trackbacks links appear
Now, I hadn't solicited that many trackbacks, so I checked to see where the links were coming from.
While I did have a good diversity of sites giving those links, I noticed that several sites where giving me 100+ backlinks EACH on many (all?) of their blog posts. I had only requested a trackback from 1 blog post on each site.
Can anyone explain to me what is going on here?
