Hey warriors, i have a simple question regarding keywords with adwords.

Lets say I am bidding for the word "timeshare".

would it make sense to also bid for the word "time share", or are those 2 keywords the same to Google?

Thanks.

No, they're not the same. You should bid on both... Just make sure they're bracketed. You don't want junk traffic from "time" or "share"...

What about bidding on the pleural of the word...like "timeshares"?

I agree with this. You don't go searching for "a car charger for __phone_brand__". You go searching for "car chargers for __phone_brand__". People want options when they buy things.

This is a simple question to answer - go to Google keyword tool and just find out. It will tell you. Although they are in fact slightly different, Google is smart enough to understand not only this relationship but also it understand synonyms like running and jogging. Therefore if you optimize for one, it will be much easier to optimize for the other (and google will reward you anyway for closely related words).

You should bid on all the words that are similar to your niche, you can exclude certain words that are not related to your site. You may even want to bid on a word that is misspelled but is similar to your topic. People often type in mispelled words.
