How does Profile Backlinks work?

Excuse my ignorance here. If I understand correctly, forum profile links are time consuming and tedious process. One needs to go to each forum, sign up, create profile then do postings.

But I've also heard that profile links can be done automatically, using software. How can that be done? I can understand the software can create the profiles but how can it do the postings for you? Without postings, what good is the profile?

Yes, I understand that the profile link is a link back to my own domain. But don't I have to do at least one posting in order for my profile to appear on a page?

Can't we penalized for this? I think Google will become suspicious if we create thousand profile backlinks at once.

Manual link building is still the best since the effect is long term.

I think this is sort of an "up in the air" thing. Some people claim blasting your links all over the place too quickly will get you penalized and others claim that Google doesn't find them fast enough to realize what actually happened. In a way I can see both being true. If your site is brand new and Google is constantly running across links back to your site, something is obviously up. But at the same time if you posted something and it went viral, all those links are totally legitimate.

Can anyone explain to me how xrumer blast works?

They claim they can create thousands of profile links. Are these forums they blast to do not require postings and the profile links can be viewed by the public?

Yup or the software created by me for a cheaper alternative - creates profiles - bio and blog article contextual links - A wider variety is always better then just profiles -

check the last link in my footer

Check with each forum that you go to and see if they require posts. If they just require 1 post then that's not too bad. Even 5 isn't horrible they have dofollow signatures. Make sure you post quality content or you'll get banned and have no links on that site. Forums aren't crawled like normal websites since there is so many new pages produced daily, same with profiles. So once you've created your account and put your link into the profile, copy the URL of your profile (as others would see it, go to "members" and search for yourself) and compile a list of your forum profiles. Then create an RSS feed of them and ping that. As it's been said, don't use this as your only source of backlinks. I've found a good number of my profile links don't get indexed.

A backlink is a backlink. The only problem with profile is that it may not be keyword anchored most of the time. But aside that, it is great
