It will be low cost because DP is full of spammers, beginners, idiots and non-English speakers, who flail around together in one of the worst and dying environments online.

Spend your money on some lingerie for your girlfriend/wife instead.

Full of beginners? Sounds like a great place to get some people in your sales funnel then.

Full of spammers? So was this place for a while. I guess the people spruiking backlink packs, blog commenting, forum and profile spam had to go somewhere.

Full of idiots? ...

I would also like to hear from someone who has given it a shot. Might be very profitable if given a chance.

Well, I know nothing about the mentioned forum, but I have met spam and even scams over here too. So remember, newbes are the people you can help and they become so grateful they will follow you and eventually buy from you.

I agree with you! DP is a great place too teach and give advice to beginners and bring in clients. Whats the price on their ads? Anyone?

Care to share where you found the info on this? It looks like they are still using AdSense (so can do targeted advertising through AdWords). I can't see anything else mentioned.

You have to scroll all the way below, on the left hand side. You willl see a "advertising" tab.

Cheers. I just had a look and I think they are just using Google Admanager as the ads swap between DP and Google Adwords... The placement is terrible though and I doubt it will even get noticed. People browsing a forum they are familiar with are unlikely to look at the header image each time they go to a new page.

How bout the email ad option? Thats seems pretty ok to me?
