What to do about Google cheating competitors?

Hi all...long time lurker, first time poster.

I have a client who I had great success with getting their website to:

#2 Organic
#4 Local
#1 for hyper local search.

Like I have read many times, it's important to pay attention to the competition, and I have noticed some SERIOUS cheating and lack of attention to Google's guidelines.

I've been dealing with trying to trump 3 sites the last 6 months but have not gotten anywhere, and would love it if a few people would be willing to take a look at the other sites and my clients to give me some feedback.

Thanks!

Katy

Getting your site to the first position of Google is just a game to trump your competitor.

If you think about it, if I own an ice-cream store, and on the same block, there is another ice cream store, I am going to try my hardest to pull whatever "tricks" I can out of my bag to make more people come get ice cream from me.

The same applies for your clients website... Your clients competitors are probably thinking outside of the box a little bit, and in some cases, my "bend" the rules.

Make no mistake, Google knows what you, and your competitors are up to. They know your work, and work designed to sabotage it. Keep adding good relevant content, and in time, you won't have to worry what your competitiors are up to.

      Thanks guys.

It can get frustrating, especially when I see some CRAZY stuff programmed in a competitors source code. Really crazy.

Also when I see the city name spammed in the details, categories, and some search: loc: type of things in the details as well. Not to mention all the fake reviews.

When things are so blatant, why is Google not hammering them?

Would anyone be interested in taking a look at a couple of these sites to give me some feedback on their practices?
