      You can ping the blogs, or not, you can submit your rss to directories or not. Just try to link from an external source that is indexed regularly, like Ezine articles, HubPages or similar sites. In most cases I get my blogs indexed in much less than a week. But like the guys suggested, you can add some more fun by pinging, but it's not necessary.

    In every blogging and online business related forum, the most popular question is that how ti get index by google. Although several threads have been started, comment posted, blog post written on this topic, however still newbies are not convinced.
    For those i would like to share the following 2 tips, that are basically the process by which Google index a blog.

    1. Content
    Google Love Unique and Quality Content. So try to add value in your Content. Google is always searching the web for new content and stuffs. If you will provide quality then google will crawl and index your blog or website.

    2. Backlinks
    After adding content to your blog or website. Build at least 10 quality and stable backlinks for your website or blog. I recommend the following ways to get initial backlinks for your domain.

    Blog Commenting
    Submission to Social Bookmarking websites.
    Creating of squidoo Lens

    Wait for at least 6 or 7 days. Spend some time on link building, soon google will index your blog. Google Always love to index new and unique stuffs. So be patience and keep working on your blog or website.

    I would recommend adding a signature link on a busy forum like the warrior forum

    Fastest way to index AND pass link juice is to open a identi.ca account and put your website in your profile. I've had sites indexed in less than 3 minutes after doing that!

    If your blogs are not being indexed within a week, than you are doing something wrong.

    You should add a sitemap to your blog and you can also ping it with pingler or any other ping service out there.

    IF you want to get your sites indexed in minutes, than you can use a new free tool called Website Indexer.

    Just write a couple articles and submit them to EzineArticles. Then create a hub or two on Hubpages and you should be good. Indexing usually won't take longer than a week if you do that, sometimes it's fast, sometimes it isn't. For instance, I've made sites, put them up and within 4 hours ranked on the first page for the term. Other times it has taken 5-7 days to index my sites. Just be sure to put a link on sites that are very active and get crawled regularly.

    Someone suggested in another thread - Submit in Digg, Mixx and Reddit. Works like a charm. Should be indexed within hours.

      Its only a snippet of your site that they get from reddit, digg not exactly your website. It looks like your title and stuff depending how you bookmark it. Then it should take 10minutes to show up in google listings. It a good thing because it gives google bot an indicator that your websites ready to be found or what ever.

      If you wonna index less than a month submit yr url to google webmaster tools make a sitemap and a couple of links to your website just as above and ping your website and backlinks. works for me

    I would suggest you to use pingomatic.com to ping all search engines. It really works for me. Other than that as you publish new post on your blog try to bookmark it in delicious, stumbleupon and some other well reputed sites. Also share your post on Facebook and twitter.

    I use all the above...LOL... social bookmarking, article marketing, rss feeds etc. But the one thing that I do find that works is building outbound links. Not necessarily your affiliate links, but links related to your niche or a product.

    For example I have an Asthma mini niche site...but within some posts and on my sidebar I have links pointing...I guess you can say to some authority sites related to asthma.

    So give that a try.
