Guys, how much linking must be done for article published with ezinearticles directory?
It's pretty high authority site, but for it to appear on 1st page of Google what is the formula? Outbidding competing pages on amount/PR of links probably would not do the trick?

I mean it depends on your competition primarily. If you have very little competition- very little. However if you have steep competition and you're up against many authority sites, it could be tough. Have you checked out competing sites for the targeted keyword?

A good start is some basic backlinking within social media websites, then ideally if those don't do the trick, some forum profile backlinking alongside some high pr pages.

I usually find - I submit my article to EzineArticles and then I submit the article on EzineArticles via Digg, and any other social bookmarking or news sites to build faster PR to the article quickly.

Add a link from your facebook fan page and via twitter is also required.

Yes, it all depends how much competition you are up against. I have noticed that with some of my articles a simple bookmarking will do the trick but some of the articles have required some serious link building before they started to show up.

It really depends on the competition, for instance I wrote one article that popped up on page 1 of google without any backlinking done. Later it received over 40k views and jumped up to the #1 spot, I'm assuming either people shared the article or it just ranked higher because so many viewed it.

Usually blog commenting and social bookmarking seems to help me the most, but I don't target any keywords about 50k exact searches.

  • Totally agree with patrick, it is advisiable that once your article is been approved generate traffic and will get benefit to get on top. The traffic can be generated only with the help of social network.
