Why did google change its mind?

Looking at my webmaster tools, something funny happened. It shows the number of queries that were directed to your site for various keywords, but the data changed from one day to the next. First, it showed me quite a reasonable number of queries (which is supported by the data from my hosting company too) but then all of a sudden google decided that I have less than 10 queries for my main keywords.

Why?

The data in webmaster tools is usually a couple weeks behind from my experience. I don't know why this is either. Like the cable company, for some reason the Guide sometimes will say tv show A is playing when actually, TV show B is playing on the tv channel. They are a high tech as can be, but can't figure out the word "current". I'll never figure it out.
