Question on Backlinks (Domain or URL?)

Should the link appear ALL the PAGES in a website or just the home page? Example: If a partner website has 6 pages, and if they choose to put my link on each page, will I get 6 back links from the same website if some one clicks on all the six pages? or is it just one backlink from each DOMAIN irrespective of the pages?

Thanks

Multiple backlinks from all the pages on a wesite is not going to get you as much juice as you think. I'd rather one in content link on the highest PR page (usually home page)

Thanks Mike; Most sites that provide back links to me have PR0 or PR1. I guess something is better than nothing

I took a site earlier this year to a PR 1 in a few weeks based on 7--10 sites that showed a PR 0. The truth is you never know if there is fractional juice on a PR zero page.

I have always considered the number 1-3 slots that come back in the search results to be the authority on the keyword regardless of PR

Both, and don't worry about it too much. Link building is all about being natural in your efforts. It's not normal to have all your inbound links from a homepage of vice versa.

Mix up the type of links, anchor texts, speed acquired, etc... that's natural.
