I was wondering, what do you think are the best 3 positions within a blog to place Google AdSense in order to make most money.

I have personally noticed the top of the actual page, towards the left corner and also at the bottom of the blog post.

I have also noticed that text content posts have better click through rate then video posts.

I am in no way an expert but will offer what little i know.
Apparently people read site top to bottom not left to right, so placing your ads directly under your heading is the first place to start. Remember the old newspaper fold concept, above the fold is what sells.

Top left, Down the left column, then at the bottom of the post, just from my experience.

Get a list of highest paying keywords. Do a search on google for 'increase adsense revenue' or 'highest paying adsense keywords'.

      Ex: http://www.sorve.com/adsense.htm
(Not sure it is uptodate or not)

      Build blogs around them.

Still I have a question: webmasters getting enough money from adsense?

I'm sure many still are, but you need a lot more traffic today then in the past.

Adsense is probably OK with at least 2-3000 page views a day.

Make it the only way to exit the website, so that the visitor either have to click on it or hit the [Back] / [X] button to exit your website.

Another tip... focus on girly or kiddy topics. They are clickers.
