Can an autoblog increase Google ranking?

Hi guys,

I have a static html website and want to increase it's ranking for the main keywords I'm targeting (competition is mid-high), thus I'm planning to create an extra page (like mydomain.com/articles) which would be a wordpress blog to submit fresh articles. I hope that this way I get better results in SEO for my static pages.

However I have two questions:

1. Does such a solution really help to get better rankings for my static pages? I think that the fresh content could boost my website's overall rating.

2. If the answer is yes to the first question, does it also work if I would use autoblogging with wp-robot and wp-unique? Or Google is not that stupid to see it as unique, quality content?

If somebody has experience in this field, I would be very grateful for every advice!

    Hi Dave,

    Adding a blog to your site will help to increase ranking, using auto-blogging will decrease your ranking. Google's not that stupid.

    how ca a blog increase your ranking on the SERP's? it is just a single link that gives his juice towards your website, isn't it? While the blog has no PR himself how can he increase your ranking? Can you please explain why it can increase the ranking?

      Although Google says that the page rank is mainly form relevant links to your site then having a blog that is frequently updated with unique content will certainly help. And it also provides you with some inside linking opportunities for your website.These are the reasons that I can think of that might help your ranking a bit.

      As far as the autoblog is concerned, Google would not really appreciate these at all.

        Even if I use WP Unique to make the articles unique? How would Google know that it's not quality content?

          3 fundamental factors for good rankings:

          1. Relevancy of Content
          2. Frequency of fresh content
          3. Backlinks

          If your site is static, you may benefit from adding a blog, auto or not. The content on the blog will help you rank the website (if done correctly) and help you gain ground in the longtail keyword space.

            It wouldn't hurt to create a sub-blog and gather relevant content into it. I'd change the titles up and maybe combine content such as 2-3 videos + articles.

            If the pages get indexed, and you are on a stable, aged domain. This process will probably help you some on your rankings.

            I'd be sure to have links in your sub-blog that point back to pages on your main site to create some link flow.

    Google blog ranking factor is depending upon 5 factors. They are:
    1) On-page Optimization
    2) Off-page optimization (backlinks)
    3) Quality of the content
    4) Posting Frequency
    5) Authority (decreased number of outgoing links. Link to high authority websites only)

    From the eyes of an autoblogger, these 5 factors are not important. Just backlinks + mass content can bring huge traffic and revenue - of course, thats all what they need.

    1) Yes. It is a great idea to promote your main product using autoblogs.

    2) Nope. Autoblogged + SEOPressor is the greatest Autoblogging combination (from my experience).

    Well blogs can help you achieve higher rankings in the search engines if they have unique content that is frequently updated. As apart from the links from relevant websites unique content is a thing that is helpful for higher position in search engines. But try and avoid using autoblogs as search engines don’t give much preference to the autoblogs.
