Google Pagerank question?

When google assesses your page rank does it take links in other search engines in to account or only the links that are in google.

For example.

In google I only have 5 backlinks.

But...

In Yahoo I have 1300 backlinks - would google take these links in to consideration?

Google doesn't show all the links they count and how they count them either in public or on Webmaster Tools in order to hide how their algorithm works. You'll see more links in Webmaster Tools though than you will in a site:mydomain.com search.

Yahoo shows everything they index without regard to follow/nofollow status.

  The answer given by bgmacaw was spot on. I would like to add that the number of backlinks is not as important as the quality of those links. One good backlink could be worth more than 10,000 of those free-for-all links.

Google only counts links in its database.. They don't count links on other search engines.

they are different from each other.. you can rank higher in google compared to yahoo at the same time span..
