Hey i was wondering about backlinking
When you post a comment on a wordpress blog with your site in the Website feild is that backlinking or is it putting it in the comment itself?

And what are different types of backlinks like PR4 - PR9

I heard people buying backlinks and would you just post comments to top blogs with there keywords?

Yes, that is backlinking but be aware that most wordpress blogs are "nofollow" which means you won't get any link juice from that backlink.

wordpress blogs are pretty worthless for SEO and god knows there's enough SEO spam going on these days, so please don't contribute to it. I'm a chiropractic marketing consultant for one of the big chiropractic website companies and I regularly wade through the junk.

as an example- I embedded a discreet keyword link the body of my text. see the "chiropractic marketing" chunk? it's non-intrusive and contributes to the conversation but also provides a backlink. try to develop this kind of strategy.

props on learning about SEO at such a young age though!

Hi "The 16 Year Old" - PR (Page Rank) means the amount of authority a page has in the eyes of Google (0-10, 10 being the highest). So when you get a back link from a high authority site, Google allocates much more weight to this link than to the links you get from low authority sites.
You could have thousands of back links from page 0 sites, and it wouldn't do as much for your rankings as if you had just a few from high PR sites.
Some social media sites are good places to start building profiles with back-links to your sites.
