Micheal, the first question, / is the first time i have ever heard that question asked and i do not honestly know the answer / somebody may here or fire an email to adwords support may be an option, the second question is a mixed bag in that yes you can have a email subscription , but the other side of the coin is your site must meet googles terms and conditions.

It is not for me to say / nor do i want to get into a fight on what those grey lines are, but i can say i have run them on my site with no problems / adwords / but it is a site not a lander and its an option only and off to the side / with the main site containing all good content.

There are many versions / ways people set up sites and its not my call to say who is right or wrong, grab a read of G's recommended site settings for a good user experience from the adwords section of your user panel in G and have read.

Best way to find out is to create such an ad and see what happens.

I know you cannot use Google in your ad copy. You can however use Adwords, at least I could a while back. I'm guessing you could use Adsense. But like I said, try it.

The term 'adsense' is a copyrighted term and Google is very stringent about copyright infringements. However, if you attempt to use it, while compiling the ad, at the most you are likely to be told that you can't use the term. Do that very often and adwords will keep a close watch on you.

Similarly, ensure that your landing page is not a squeeze page as defined by adwords. Or again, you are preparing the ground for a nice G-slap. Cheers!. Hope this helps.

But I can use opt-in email subscriptions on other pages of my site?

        It won't affect my QS?

Here is the real question, what are you trying to promote?
Is it any kind of "make money online" scheme?
Google really doesn't like those anymore.

It doesn't have anything to do with making money online and you want to use Adsense in your ad? Doesn't sound right to me.
