Ezine / Article Marketing Question

So, we all know that article marketing is a great strategy for SEO and backlinking. People suggest that if you had to choose one directory to submit to, it would be EzineArticles, since they have such a high PR.

My question is, after you write an article with a proper, optimized resource/author box for EzineArticles, when or how does their PR come into play? I just wrote 4 articles that were approved, but they are all PR0.

Does it really matter where you submit them if they all start at PR0?

Thanks for your insight!

The high PR of most websites is in their HOME PAGE. The subsequent PR of user created pages like your article will be 0 PR but associated with a HIGH PR domain, so even though the specific PR of your article has 0 PR it is associated with a domain that has trust and authority in the eyes of Google will influence its ranking juice. To increase the PR of the article page you will need backlinks just like any other webpage. hope that helped...a bit ?

Another benefit is of course also that your EzineArticle has a very good chance of ranking in the search engines if you craft your article well enough and does some link building to it.

That's much because of the Authority of the homepage (ezinearticles.com).

        Best Regards

I don't know how much a factor PR has these days but I can tell you this much. Ezine is great because google comes and searches it every single day. So your articles can show up for specific keywords in a matter of minutes at times.

That's the strength of ezinearticles, it's ability to get indexed fast because it is such a high volume site.

As far as domain age and PR, I think it will help you out if you backlink your articles. You can blast the heck out of it using certain link building tools because it is an aged domain and therefore will look natural; as opposed to a newbie website getting 1000's of links in one day.....not so natural.

I think sub-pages on a big trusted site with high PR carry more weight even if they have 0 PR. Plus - your articles and your profile links will get indexed quickly.

At ezinearticles I think it's popular because the bottom links or credits for yourself or site are dofollow and can be keyworded anchor text links which can help you build your keywords. New articles are visited and indexed by google fast. So you can get a dofollow backlink with your preferred keyword from an authority site in a rather short period of time. The only drawback is writing articles can be time-consuming even if they are only 300-500 words or something.
