Of course SEO will stay as long as "Search Engines" will be used by people. That's the way the cookie crumbles.

We don't have to worry about SEO. There may be some changes in the near future (talking about the effect of Google Instant) but it will be an important part of IM for ever.

Just give them what they want.

Build a content rich site that is filled with keyword focused pages full of helpful content.

Giving the reader and the search engines quality content will never die. That's how you move forward. Build a site that provides real value

Ryan,

I think that's true to an extent...but building a quality site takes time. Why should I have to wait for Google to catch up to my content?

Links for SERPS benefit and direct traffic etc will always have a place.
