[TUTORIAL] Get Your Site Indexed In Just A Few Hours:

In one of my previous posts on the Warrior Forum, I spoke about getting your site indexed. Well I had a few PM's about that post asking all sorts of questions. And so I wanted to post a souped up and more detailed version of getting your site indexed super quickly.

I've recently been testing a few blogs and have now managed to get them all indexed within hours. I have multiple test blogs ranking on the first page in Google (in 4th, 7th and 8th position [stable] - but for my exact keyword and it's still early days, and can be improved).

In fact, when I make new posts after following a more detailed plan, I can actually get indexed in a few minutes like this (this is a pic of my site with the 'site:' operator, in Google):

Hope you can use this tutorial:

Step 1:

Take your site URL and submit it to Digg.com. Technically, the number of other Diggs you get doesn't matter for indexing purposes. But it doesn't hurt. So the title of your Digg and the description you use should make someone want to read more of your Digg. This will get you a much higher CTR at a later date.

You can actually see the types of titles that get the most Diggs. Just go to digg.com and in the top left of the site, you can choose to view the articles with the most diggs, over various time points, and the corresponding article titles:

You can also choose to see the articles with the most diggs, by category. Just click on a sub section on the left hand side (so you can choose 'technology' and then follow the instructions in the pic to see the articles with the most diggs, in the technology section).

If you can create a similarly interesting title, it can help you get more Diggs, which can lead to traffic as well as indexing.

You should also have a keyword rich title and description too. This will help with your natural SE ranking.

Step 2:

Take your Digg URL:

Eg: digg.com/Affiliate_Marketing/Super_Affiliate_Marketing_Advice

Then go to Update Pinging Services - King Ping Your Blog

Submit your Digg url there.

Step 3:

Go to Ping-o-Matic!.

Take your keywords that you want to rank for, and add it to the title. Then submit your Digg url there too.

Thats it!

Hopefully you will get some traction with your thoughtful title and get a few digs. But if you don't do not worry. You will easily get indexed in search engines just by following the above tutorial.

Also, this won't get you ranked at the top of search engines. But sometimes you need to get indexed quickly. Use this tutorial for those situations and you're good to go.

After that you can add backlinks and push yourself up the SERPS.

If you have a Wordpress blog just use Google XML Sitemaps plugin. It will submit a sitemap for you automatically to Google, at least, and you'll be indexed without even thinking about it. Boom, you're done.

I get crawled by Google in a few minutes, with a lot less work...

I just have a good ping list on my WP blog, so I can get a Google crawl within as little is 2 minutes...

Posting a social tweet at the following sites lets me get non-blog sites crawled also within 2 mintues: Public timeline - Hii

I understand. Maybe it would be more useful for others if you posted your ping list here?

Also, for non WP blogs, there are sometimes benefits in not having your .com url first appear on the radar on an Israeli tld which is what I believe the Hii link is.

It's these sites that primarily benefit from the method of getting indexed like above, which has worked for a long time.

For blogs though, Google is definitely much more faster at indexing them these days, which I personally started noticing after the Mayday update.

It took me several days to build my ping list... I might sell it in the future, but I am certainly not going to post it in an open forum...

The Hii site is an Israel tld... I like em for their speed... When you are brand new, that probably is not the best thing, but when you have thousands of inbound links already, it is an awesome usage of social media... It is the Status.net software, the foundation upon which Twitter was built...

Google is faster on crawling ours blogs now than they had been in the past... If your WP blog is already known to Google, then it will be crawled generally everyday...

If a site is unknown to Google, we just got to get a link into the wild at a popular site, such as any of the US based social media sites, that points to our website...

Do people still find indexing hard?

I thought this stopped being a problem a few years ago - like you say - it's so quick and easy and there are so many ways that it's hardly worth thinking about.

Almost any link from any regularly indexed site will get the job done and like someone already said - if you use Wordpress you don't even need to think about it as it self pings and does it for you.

I remember when pinging first came out and we had to manually ping a url, but those days are long gone and this shouldn't really be a problem for anyone any more.

It's not something that needs 'solving' as the first little bit of decent link building you do will get it done.

This is another reason why blog platforms are great for newbies - so that they don't need to care about such things.

Best way is to just comment/link on a frequently cached pages, srs, sometimes only takes hours, youtube also goes live very fast, under 1 hour. Blogger also goes alright.

I guess digg is kinda the same deal. But really depending on what your on, Wordpress, Joomla ect.. Google will always hit up a site quick if its pinging with new content.

Yep, as mentioned, it's not so much of a problem to get indexed if you're using a blogging platform. Or if you have backlinks then it's not a problem either.

But I did receive some PM's and emails asking a few more details after my last thread, so wanted to provide some info for those who asked. And if you're not using a WordPress based site (I often don't when I need complete control) then this may be useful.

If you already know how it's done, that's great too

Also tpw, you are a WF veteran, but please all - be wary of mentioning your WSO in forum posts. I think mods are not too keen on this - just so you're protected!

In the meantime, speaking of ping lists - for those who want a pinglist they can use in the meantime, there is an excellent list here:

Wordpress Pinglist - The latest List of RPC Ping Sites for your Wordpress Blog

      Hope that is helpful.

I think there's a danger of making people think they need this stuff - when they don't.

Getting indexed is not a problem.

Saying "it's ok if you're getting links" but practically everyone should get links otherwise their pride and joy website won't be found by enough people to make it worth their time.

Any site can just use Pingoat or Pingler to get pinged and you don't need to care about update lists, or ping lists because they keep their list up to date.

Some people go too far with this stuff when there's no need.

Anyone worrying that their website won't get indexed is probably just confused and reading old information from when it used to need extra attention to make it quicker.

Getting indexed has always been simple and the focus really only even came about when there were ways to make it quicker - now everything is quick. There are thousands of places you can get a link and get indexed right away, so it's not a problem anymore.

If you think it is a problem - I'd be interested to hear why.

Just putting a link to your website in your forum signature here will get it indexed.

And anyway - you can send people to it and make sales even if it isn't indexed.

Agreed! Most of the time it's not an issue but I had PM's/emails from plenty of people after my last thread who asked more questions about it. This info is supposed to be helpful for them.

It's like saying affiliate marketing is not a problem. No it's not, but for some people it is. Some people don't want to know. Some people already know. Some people are desperate to know - different strokes and all. If you already know how to index your site, that's great too!

Nope not problem at all, as mentioned. Just wanted to hand out a few pointers.

Some people prefer to keep their landing pages/sites to themselves.

      Agreed.

Some websites need to be indexed though, so that you can make more money from them (when being flipped for example, and you don't want to wait).

      Appreciate your input, thank you.
