In short it is looking in depth at the on page and off page SEO of your competitors and then using that information to help get your pages indexed and ranked.

Reverse SEO is all about finding the best link sources your competition has and being able to get the same links from the same sources.

The best tool for that is SEO SpyGlass.

It is the process of studying other sites to figure out why they rank the way they do.

You can use tools like Backlink checker, Adsense Sites, Clickbank Affiliate Spy and other things SEO! to get a lot of information for free.

Yahoo works with Google. It is backlinks to your site, and they have nothing to do with Google or Yahoo. Yahoo only choose to show you more incoming links.

You also do not need more advanced tools than yahoo for this. All you have to do is imitate the top ten listings where it is possible. Now, get to work!
