Wordpress out of the box SEO good enough? Or need plugins?

I heard that out of the box wordpress is already very well optimized for SEO. But i also hear about how great this "All in one seo pack" plugin is. Do i really need that plugin to achieve good rank on google?

The benefit of the the all in one SEO pack is that it gives the ability to have a unique title and description tag for each of your posts or pages that matches the content within your page. This will help you rank for those keywords

I would say you really should have it.

  I recently bought SEOPressor which gets each post and page completely optimised, I have yet to see if it affects my rankings.

You do need an SEO plugin - All in one SEO or Platinum SEO
Also I would recommend using a custom URL with the post name first, followed by the post ID

Get All IN ONE SEO Or Platinum SEO, as well as Robots Meta and cbNET Ping Optimizer (This one is very important to avoid being labeled as a ping spammer. Make sure to check the box that says: Limit excessive pinging in short time), google XML sitemaps.

All of those plugins are free, easy to use, and have vitally important functions.
