From 18 to 80 -> Before and After Adsense

I am not usually one to believe in 'conspiracy style' seo myths about Google.. BUT.. this time there may be something about it.

I have a domain that I have used for testing the effectiveness of various SEO methods in this country and how easy/hard it is to rank for medium traffic terms. It's an .org domain with exact match keyword in the local language.

I put some content on from an article database and the domain gets indexed at around 60'th place.

I give it a few backlinks from article syndication and it jumps to 18-20 and stays there for 3 weeks.

Then I put Adsense on it and when I look for it now, it's solidly in 80'th place.

Nothing else was done.

By definition, this would look like an MFA site, an ugly standard blog with only one piece of content.

What do you think?

I think it just reinforces what we keep saying here. Put adsense on good sites with sufficient content.

A site that is fine for testing SEO methods may not be fine when judged by google for value to advertisers.

    Just my guess.

I removed the Adsense block, will be interesting to see if it changes anything.
