Hi guys,

im pretty new when it comes down to affiliate site and IM but i wanted to try it out since i really need the money
so i started a website about oil rig jobs + the affiliate for it. Did some onpage SEO that i found from a live study case. Okay that worked so far and all the pages have been indexed by google.
Now to the bad part
I used SEnuke to create profiles. I did around 5-6 a day and pinged all of them. I also started using backlink booster on a few of them. After around 10 days (50 backlinks) google just had 5 of them indexed.
Then i bought a backlink package from Paul's. I also started adding 5-10 links a day but just 2 of them were indexed by google
what am i doing wrong? It is kind of frustrating thinking that all of the work is for nothing..
Thanks for any help!

Doesn't sound like you're doing anything wrong. You have absolutely no control over what google does. Just because you ping your backlinks doesn't mean google will visit them.

Again with the backlink booster, just because you use it doesn't mean google will do anything with it. Google is there to provide the best information for their browsers not do the bidding of all of the IM'ers out there. That's just the harsh truth ot it.

You just have to face the fact that not all of your links are going to get indexed and keep at it. Ping your backlinks again if they're not indexed in a week or two and use backlinks booster on them again.

Okay will keep that in mind. I know that google will just take a look at a certain percentage of the links but still i thought a few more will get indexed.
But you are right, i might just have to keep waiting and continue building links. Maybe they will get indexed at some point.

Google could have noted all your backlinks but it takes time for them to update their index as so many billions of sites with billions of pages are being created everyday.

The best way for you to keep track is to create a Google Webmasters account for your site, verify your site and check the backlinks reported by Google. It will be quite some time before you see backlink counts that Google has knowledge of.

It takes patience and time. Dont worry, you will win

FWIW, you are in the right place. This forum is a great environment for learning and the vast majority of folks who are trying to make money online will never get anywhere near doing the right things.

You've already made a great start by finding your niche and building an optimized website - stick with it and I'm sure it will come good. Oh, and ignore all that "made x million this week stuff" - making money online is all about building a business and it takes time, just like building any other business. It's just that the start up costs lower and changing direction if you need to is easy to do.
