Profile Backlinks vs. Blogpost BL

Its me again 
I just had a discussion with a friend of mine who is also into SEO (and more successful 
) about what has more value to google. Is it the Profil Backlinks or the Blogpost with a Backlink? He said that google cares more about Backlinks when there is content to it.
And also would you use SEnuke for your SEO or scrapebox? Right now im using senuke but dunno if i should switch :/
