SEO Help - In Regards to Backlinks

Hello all, I have a question that I am hoping to get some insight in.

I have a website that I wont link because I am unaware of the rules of that. We have a variety of products that we design, manufacture, and sell. Every time we design a new product, we upload it to our e-commerce site, and also upload it onto our facebook fanpage.

Which brings me to my next point, When I put a link into the comment of the picture on facebook I am unable to use html, but I have been writing in the link for the product itself. Is that the best course of action? or should I always link to the homepage instead?

Any insights are appreciated.

If Facebook is not allowing you to put html in the comment section it may not be counted as a backlink. So you really want to be aware of that. If it is being counted as a backlink then using different pages is fine just try to make sure your comments are going to specifically what you are talk about. But in an ideal situation you want to use your targeted keywords as your link text.

I would use the link for your main site and optimize it like a landing page. Make it easy for members to find your product(s) and that should help. Overall, i'd say use your main site like a marketing hub in which you can control the traffic. It also won't look as promotional to Google with some of its newer algorithms - so i've heard.

You should start linking.

Each time you create a new page create 10 or so keyword rich links back to it.

Facebook wont let you link but plenty of other sites will.

That could get a little hairy or tedious, as we are aiming to add 10 - 15 new products a week. Is there a way to optimize this?
