Hi all,

I just had a few questions regarding the usefulness of RSS Submitters. Most of my sites comprise of numerous posts and i'm finding it takes quite a bit of my time to build backlinks manually. I have received some natural backlinks, but I was wondering if these RSS Submitters added backlinks to your various individual pages/posts.

I was looking at the ICansoft RSSBot, and was also wondering how it worked. Do I need to sign up for each of the RSS services first, and then use the software to submit my feeds to the various RSS sites?

Thanks all!

I would be interested in what other warriors have to say. I would imagine its the same as bookmarking in terms of usefulness from a SEO point of view?

You don't need to submit for an account or anything like that to get your rss feed known. You also don't need to buy software to do it just go to:- Pingler and it will send your url of your rss feed to 79 places such as Feedburner and Syndic8. Another online service is:- Pingoat which will send your feed to Technorati, Newsisfree and 26 in all.

    Addendum:-

Just checked Pingoat and it is not working can't connect to mysql.

I have just contacted John Reese (the owner) on the email, we will see if it does not come back up in the next 24 hours - be patient, meanwhile use Pingler.

With an RSS submitter like RSSBot, if I remember right, you can register through the software for an account at various RSS feed aggregators/ feed submission sites, if that is required. A number of feed aggregators do not require password sign in. Once you do that, you can upload your feed and click to submit to the numerous RSS feed aggregators at the same time. It's easier than going independently to each feed site to submit manually.

It's a nice way to diversify your backlinks. I've seen the backlinks counted on Google webmaster tools, as well as gotten direct referral traffic. Nothing major, but in my opinion a reasonable return on the time spent.

After submission, whenever you update your RSS feed with new items, you can still ping them. For a discussion of the differences between RSS feed pinging and submission, I believe there are several threads on WF addressing that, so if you are interested, try to do a search.

      Thanks everyone,

So if I have a site that has about 100 smaller posts that i'm looking to obtain backlinks for, would this be a good way to get a backlink for each?

      Thanks!

Yeah another way to rank your site is to use the power of RSS.

1st you need to look for a related same niche topic and subscribe. Once subscribe syndicate it to your blog or webiste then just include your backlinks on it or your referral on it.

It a great idea also to have a quality traffic. Just make sure everything is related to your niche.

Fresh website content is one of the favorites of Google. If you have daily updates on your site through these feeds that you subscribe; in one way or another, this can help your site get indexed faster or even land on the top pages of search engine searches.

I think RSSBot and SEOLinkRobot do the job here. Though SEO Link Robot is used for many other things. GOOD software.

I purchased RSS Bot a while back, but have been having computer problems, so it still isn't installed yet. Bummer. I'm looking forward to using it since I've heard mostly good things about Incansoft's products.
