Question about commenting on dofollow blogs

Hi,

I'm planning to create some link juice for my site by placing comment of related blogs. Now that's my issue...

There are many dofollow blogs that have a high PR for the HOME PAGE, but most of the inner pages have a PR0 or worse, they are not ranked at all. Question: does it worth posting comments on those low-rank pages? Does the PR of the home page matter in this game? Or maybe I should try to find high PR inner pages (i.e. posts) to comment on?

I hope that SEO and backlinking experts on this forum will be so kind and enlighten me...

Thanks in advance!

Bogdan

Its always good to comment on low and high pagerank websites, especially if the site is relevant. Try to find blog posts that have one of your targeted keywords within the title of the post and then link back to the page on your site that includes this keyword.

Its also a good idea to balance out your blog commenting by posting on a mixture of do-follow and no-follow blogs.

Of course it's a good idea to post comments on dofollow blogs, regardless of the PR.

Remember that a webpage with a PR0 right now will eventually increase to a PR1, 2, 3, or more later on the down the road.

Although the PageRank of the page linking to your URL (NOT the PageRank of the home page of the site linking to you) is what is important, for blogs you won't know the PageRank of the blog post you're commenting on typically. They will almost always show "Page not currently ranked by Google" or whatever it says because the pages are recent... You'll only see a Toolbar PR if the page is old.

Why? Because that page didn't exist the last time that Google generated and published a Toolbar PR update (and they only do this once every few months). It doesn't mean, however, that the page has no PageRank. If it has followed inbound links (even if they are only from their own site) then the post has PageRank. But it's the "real" PageRank that you never see. You want know the Toolbar PageRank until the next PR update.
