how easy is it SEO ing?

In traffic generation, I found that SEO is the most complicated and not easy method to get traffic from.

What do you think? Even after reading books, courses, and so much more.

I don't know why I feel like this, maybe because we have to build links (it takes so much time), writing content (if we don't deal with autoblogging), getting backlinks (maybe can from backlinks services like linkvana and some stuff like that), and it's just complicated.

What do you think guys?

    if you can get your a good keyword research method down, you can find a nice keyword and get 1st page with only 1-2 days of creating backlinks.

      Its hard, but not impossible. Study the backlinks of your first 5 competitors and build links on it.

    I do SEO and make money at it. My best advice to get traffic is to find a forum where you can become the expert at whatever it is you're selling.

    So, for example, if you sell an e-book on dog training, join and participate in a forum about dogs. Spend time on your signatures, and marketing your products in a helpful way to the audience.

    Try and think of who the best audience for your product is and look for that forum.

      Quality content will do it for you every time and if your content trully is high quality, the results you will achieve will be more likely to stay.

      By quality content I mean everything. Your site's content, contributions you make on relevant forums, articles that you write for article marketing... you get the picture.

      Other than that, good keyword research (important!) and making sure your website is properly optimised for the main keyword you're targeting. Don't stuff keywords, don't post crappy, badly spun articles. Provide quality experience for your readers and Google will reward you.

      In the end, it is a lot easier to simply work on producing good, useful content than try to "game" the system and be always on the lookout for the latest "trick".

    Links does the job, the links for the keywords that you choose wisely. There are lots and lots of webmasters in the world with the same and exact niche as yours.. So choose some keywords wisely and promote those in SEs and you will win.

    Well it does take time to show results but its not as much complicated as you are thinking it is. It just that one has to keep doing SEO activities continuously even if the site get on top in ranking and serp's. once you have command on every seo activity you'll know how you can get best results quickly and easily...Keep you motivation level up...Nothing remains as complicated as it seems once you decide to get a hand on that thing.........

      Thanks, Jazbo. If anyone want to learn anything about linkbuilding I really recommend your service. Everyday a personal question on linkbuilding has helped me to understand the tricks of the trade a lot better. Though there are no quick wins, I have a much clearer visions now.

    You're correct Vis, it is tedious and time consuming. It is also only one way to generate traffic. Check your top competition and where their traffic comes from. You will see that most often only a fraction comes from searches. In today's online world we need to have many avenues of marketing in our arsenal.

    Link building is time consuming,yes! But doing SEO only with little or no backlinking would be more frustrated.Just have to be a balance between the two but to me:more backlinking and a little SEO/Normal SEO would be nice.Or anyone feel otherwise.
