CAlculating the SOC (strength of competition) figure in MNF

I know that Micro Niche Finder uses intitle, inanchor, and inurl to calculate the SOC number...but what is the formula?

Do they add all 3 then divide? Or What? How is the SOC number 19 calculated from the figures below....

looking for the math formula specifically



and this SCO varies and is less even though the values are more?

    Here is the secret formula: the SOC parameter is the intersection of the pages with all three search operators. Simple as that. In other words, the Strength Of Parameter number as displayed in MNF is the number of pages that have the target keyword at the same time in page title, in url and in anchor text. The MNF searches up to 1000 results. Here is the actual query example for the "long domain name" keyword:

    http://www.google.com/search?num=100...&sa=N&filter=0

      interesting, I used the "secret formula" and MNF says its 64, but google says is 816. is is possible that this is different if i am querying google from malaysia?

    It is good to know the formula used by MNF in arriving SOC for our understanding purposes. Such formula however is what MNF think the best approximate method to arrive certain figures for SEO purposes. It may be helpful but not so reliable.
