I was wondering, is there any course available for optimizing ecommerce stores.

The reason I ask this because SEO courses like perpetual traffic can't be implemented for an ecommerce store.

Since an ecommerce store has many limitations as compared to a blog, for e.g. no rss feed, no user generated content, no ongoing fresh content etc.

Stompernet was started with a focus on ecommerce as brad fallon and andy jenkins both had successful ecommerce stores when they launched. It veered away from that, but i am sure there is a lot of ecommerce info still in there - not sure what level you have to join at these days to see the old content though. I was there in the beginning and there was a lot of good stuff in their forums from successful store owners.

You just build links in all the usual ways and make sure your on site SEO is as good as possible.

You don't need to worry about no rss feed, no user generated content, no ongoing fresh content etc.

    Google LOVES ecommerce sites.

None of which are necessary for site rankings.

It's a little pricey now at $249.50, but if you're willing to wait, get on the list and maybe it will be offered at a lower price in the near future.

    1. Create a feed to the shopping sites. This is easy to do once you figure it out. (Its been a while since I've done it or I would give you info, but if I can do it, you can.
    2. Do the on page SEO for every single page. Make sure you are using good keywords.
    3. Build links to each page. I used article marketing, writing articles and using low competition keywords to link to each page. This takes massive effort if you have a lot of items for sale.
    4. Why not put a blog on the site with info about the items you are selling. How to care for them, reviews... anything you like. The blog doesn't need to be visible to anyone who arrives to the sales pages, but could be used to pre-sell your product.
