New Backlinks & Serp Ranking Question

Hi, I have 2 websites for similar keywords. The competition looks about the same. One is a couple of weeks old and the other is a 4-5 months old. I have done a few article submissions to good directories with a link to both sites in the resource box during the last two weeks.

The new site is steadily improving in the results page, but the older site has not moved. Any ideas of what is going on, and if the older site will move up soon?

What i think google or search engine like changes on the websites with good content on it all you need to do is re submit the sitemap and change some of your content.

I think there is a lack in your off page optimization try to review again your site and improve the quality link building process and your content must be well optimized.

You will need alot more backlinks that what you have done, to get it to rank you will need hundreds of backlinks being build to it daily.. if not more for competitive niches..

get some contexual links only from related sites for your old website .
