I was searching at Sedo.com and found that income.com is for sale.

Visited the front page of income.com and indeed, it's open to offers. So I guess John has other plans.

Any buyers for this domain?

I am not a fan of buying expensive domains but this is a good one. Very brand-able.

Yes, I agree with Brad that this domain worths any amount of money attached to it. The owner should be dreaming of millions of dollars, I guess?

I think this domain is incredibly valuable - to the right person. Not everybody could make a ton of money from it but a few people could become filthy rich from it.

My impression was that John brought this domain for a ton
of money in the first place. I don't know if he'll get back
    what he invested.

He said he planned to turn Income.com into a social network but hesitated because of the rise of sites like Facebook. I think he should have said screw them and just did it anyway. Maybe it would have increased the value of the domain. I guess even top names like John second guess themselves.

Leaving as it is right now, it's not likely. The idea of just having a landing page is not a major drawing card for most major investors.

He would do better to build the site out targeting any sector of the investment community, (i.e., stock investors, precious metal investors, retirement income investors, etc.) anything but the IM market.

I'm really perplexed as to why he is not currently moving to increase the value of that domain. I've been following it for a while now and that splash page is not saying. "BUY ME because I'm worth a MINT!"

I guess he's got time on his side.

Isn't this name a little over-rated? Insurance.com made sense, as you can compare all insurance. What would you do with income.com that you couldn't do with a longer url that is more targeted? I ma be wrong but it does not excite me at all..

A "biz op" or MLM company could get it and do really well, I think, since it would help to legitimize them.

I would use it for a high income job site (find jobs paying over 6 figures). In fact, I would make an offer and do just that if I wasn't so busy right now.
