Anyone seeing better conversion rates with "buy {keyword}" type phrases? I've heard that many have had success going this route so I'm thinking of giving it a shot in my adwords campaigns.

It depends on keywords you are advertising for in Adwords and in the products you have in your website. For some keywords people search them by inserting 'buy' in front of them in most cases but for some other products people only search the keyword without it.
I recommend you to search "buy {keyword}" in Google adwords keyword tool and see how many time this phrase is searching per month and if you found the amount of search a lot, you can use it to increase your conversation rate.

  • Another thing is that putting the word "buy" with phrases shows the targeted visitors that what you are offering is not a freebie. Therefore, those who click the ads are those who really have the intention of buying the product. Those who are looking for freebies don't waste their time clicking the ads and visiting the sites because they know that nothing would come out of it for them.

Putting the "buy" word with phrases is good because it makes your adwords campaigns to be profitable. You will a high CTR and this will later reduce your cost per click.
