Popular keyword tool used by website owners is one that operates on a single keyword. After entering a single keyword, similar keywords and related long-tail results are yielded, thus giving the user the ability to see how a keyword is used both within its searched context and its tense. For example, if a user were to enter "typing" into the keyword tool, the results would show which other words are used by searchers in conjunction with the word "typing" when entering queries; it might also show results for the words "type"

I can't go past Google adwords tool. it seems to give a good concept (rough amount) add this with Google Analytics as well. Used to use SEO Elite but doesn't really provide me with the keyword research. Don't forget the "allinanchor:" commands in Google for anchor keywords for yours and other sites.

@Kecia08 A free version of market samurai i think its a trial version that you use.

I would go for Google adwords, Why? Its the effectiveness.

I just tried the trial version of Market Samurai. I am very impressed with some of their modules. Their software has the ability to provide how many clicks a keyword gets on a daily / monthly basis. They also provide the competitive saturation for a particular keyword.

There are a multitude of keyword tools available. After reviewing keyword tools that are available there are two that are: WordTracker and Keyword Elite.

Adwords Keyword tool is quite useful and capable in that it is able to generate keywords based on actual Google searches. The keywords are then matched to certain pages in a user's website.

I'm actually not a huge fan of wordtracker, the results seem very skewed...

I used the free trial of market samurai and liked it, but I don't think I liked it enough to pay full price for it.

So I just use google adwords little keyword tool.

The Free or paid version of Market Samarai works great. There also is a product called Keyword Dissection. It is a little pricy but it is very feature rich. It is about 1k.
