I need Adwords help. Advice?

I've searched this forum and I've seen similar questions but not the answers I'm looking for.

And the Google Adwords info sections are tech-speak.

So...

Here's what I'm trying to do if I can.

If I run PPC on the content network can I somehow track the different ad groups and find out the conversion rate of optins on the page I send them to?

Can it be done easily on a wordpress page? (Can the code be inserted easily, is there a plugin?...etc.)

Does it matter if I use single vs. double optin? (In other words, if they're taken to a "Wait...you're almost there. We need to confirm your..." page versus a "Here's your download" thank you page kind of thing. I imagine the only difference is which page has the code or whatever spcial "thing" is needed?

And is this what I think it is? What I've been talking about above? Is this the place where it would show the percentage of those who 1) clicked on my ad and then 2) followed through on a track-able action (in this case "opting in"?

I assume that spot is blank if you don't use the code or service? Otherwise, there's external work (beyond just setting up running adword campaigns) involved to invoke those statistics?

And lastly, can anyone explain how (or point to a "Here you go idiot..." guide or tutorial explaining the process) I would set up the code?

Because that's what it is right?

Sorry to be annoying. However, if I can share some of how magicians do their tricks in return for your help...no, no, no..not like the masked magician, I mean the good stuff, maybe I can help.

Nah...

Never mind. I still perform. That wouldn't be good.

Thanks for your patience.

Just in case anyone else is curious - the temporary (but yet to be tested) solution appears to be a plugin for wordpress.

It's "Creative Clans Embed Script" and looks good as a solution for putting the adwords conversion code in a page or post.

    Will let you know.

Hello Nathan, in regards your conversion code i can help with, If you go to your reporting tab / then conversions you will be able to select the new conversion option, from there give it a name then dial in a conversion type.

you will need to select English as the language then you will be able to press generate code

from there you take the code and past it into the body of your conversion page.

if your conversion page is an affiliate type product, you can select the email this code option and send it to your affiliate manager to insert into the thank you page.

If the product is a clickbank product you can set the code information into the back of clickbank data once and it will cover all clickbank products.

/ if you need directions on the clickbank setting drop a pm and i will find that data for you.

Edit / on your wordpress page if there is a footer section / option box / that you can paste code into / use that as it should place the code before the end of the body.

to check this go to view source and you should see the code before the end of the body tag
