How to Backlink Hundreds of Low Competition Pages Effectively?

I was thinking of article marketing.

I also estimated for ONE page to rank top 1-3, it must have 20 articles pointing to it (article marketing backlinks).

But, this figure could become very high...

For example

Site = 200 pages
Articles for backlinks = 200 x 20 = 4000 articles

What's your take on the best backlinking method for ranking MANY (hundreds) of low competition pages?

Do you backlink like crazy to the homepage and hopefully the PR juice flows to the rest of the pages?

Chime in guys!

If you can make 20 backlinks for each of your pages from different websites, it can help you a lot. But if you want to make 20 backlinks for each of your pages from the same websites, i don't think it helps you a lot.

I don't agree it may take 20 articles each page. It could be less. I had 5 articles created, used on my site and posted on 5 article sites. And the articles have been published on some other sites later. Some pages, that is all you would need.

It is going to depend on your competition, if they have page rank and how many backlinks.
There may be low competition, but the sites that are up and what they have done is what you have to contend with.

You need to vary your backlink sources. So some from articles, some from other places.

For one, I can think of backlinks using senuke. You can pay $5.00 at places like fiverr.com and get 5 to 7 web2.0 backlinks. Search for senuke. Some even bookmark and submit it to the rss feeds for you. It would give you some page rank links fairly cheaply and for very low competition, you might not need anymore than that one submission.

Or you could have someone write an article who also does the submissions to several article directories.

Don't forget to link your keywords on one page to other pages within your site part of the time. This can be helpful.

I would make sure that my index page had a some links then I would only go for a few pages linking the *buying keywords* to start and see how it goes before I would spend a lot of money for someone, or you the time, to create backlinks. I have had affiliate sites get to #1-3 and they did not make sales for me. Sometimes you never know.

And remember, all this takes time. 3 weeks to 3 months for some of this backlinking to register with Google and move you up the ranks, although it could be sooner. Google also looks at the age of the site.

Here is hoping your low competition site moves to page one quickly and makes numerous sales!
