Hi Guys,

I've been in my business for 6 months and have been managing all my own SEO. Currently my business is ranked 10th under google, but i'd really like to push it up there in one particular key word phrase.

Can anyone give me any suggestions about ways of ranking higher?

I have the following;

Podbean page with linkbacks
Blogger page with linkbacks
Facebook, twitter, linkedin with linkbacks
2 other of my own low ranked pages with linkbacks
ezinearticles x 3 with linkbacks
You Tube videos with linkbacks
15+ business listing services with linkbacks
4 x forums with PR4+ with linkbacks
All my sites are wordpress with AllinOneSEO etc.. and Google XML Sitemaps lalala
I've also pinged 3000+ sites using SEO Link Dominator

Any other advice?

I can't work out why i've got more IC than most of my competition, more BLP than most and still ranking so low?

    Hi Steve,

    When was the domain and site created? June? If so, you just need to give it a bit more time.

    I did an analysis of your backlinks and 90% of your links are coming from 3 sites. Try and spread that around some more. Perhaps dind a few more forums to participate in.

    I would look for some industry blogs and offer to do some guest posts to get some more links from quality sites. This will give you some decent exposure too. They don't have to just be Aussie blogs if the info isn't local.

    There is the spammy option of profile links and blog comments but I would personally avoid that approach for an offline business. I don't think you need it with that competition.

    I think your site will push its way up the list if you keep doing what you have been doing as your site really is only new. Give it a couple more months and I think you'll be ripping it up in the new year.

      Thanks for the info Fraggler. I was looking at some SEO sites and found something called a linkwheel.

      Is that also something I should consider creating?

      I've been trying to find a good building site and have found one new one - i have to post 50 times before i can add my sig... but i guess it'll be worth it.

        Linkwheel is more of a strategy for getting all of your links indexed. There is the added bonus of "link popularity" which basically means building links to your articles submitting to social bookmarks etc.

        If you are using HubPages or Squidoo to link to a article site that doesn't get crawled as frequently it can be very effective.

        You may want to read his blog, Linus aka Lemoinarian doesn't promote the linkwheels as much anymore.

          Hi Steve,

          Your website has some basic and very obvious opportunities for improving your internal link structure. You should include your targeted keywords in the anchortext of navigational links, where it makes since to do so, and do more in-context keyword anchortext links. Your own website should do a good job of telling search engines what each page is about and internal links are among the most powerful ways to do just that.

    The works you are doing for promoting your websites are really good and i think its not needed that you do more actions. If you can do these works successful, your websites will be ranked good surely.

    You should try Press Release many people considered this method as an effective tool for traffic and try more link building techniques. hope it helps.

    I don't know one thing that why did it takes too much time to get results on any website. And if we have to give the results in within 1 month to the clients than how is it possible.

        This list is what you should add to your seo arsenal for sure! Remember to use as many techniques as possible - the variety of backlinks is very important. Next level - you should buy high pr websites(if you have the money) and build your own network of high quality sites - whenever you decide to build a new website you can get immediate boost from your strong network of backlink sites or you can buy links on high pr websites.
        All in all it is always better to have backlinking techniques/tactics that are permanent/long-term(read not spamming the hell out of one blog for example, not a long-term tactic!)
