Help needed building/developing my adword campaigns

Ive burned $1000 last week trying to get my adwords campaigns setup.
I know there are lots of tutorials and programs, i joined some membership sites, i bought some of the programs promoted on warrior, and still i cant get it done.

I know my biggest competitor, and i even know he is at 0,06ppc. So someone who has knowledge how to scoop his campaign should be able to do it, i however, tried it and couldnt get it done.

I have my own product/membership site, i DO get sales from the campaign, but because im paying $1.25+ per click im getting a ROI of -50%.

So, the sales ARE there, i just need to figure out what the best strategy is to get the same clicks for a better price, or how to build the best campaign to try.

What would you guys recommend? Ive been reading tutorials for 5 days straight now, should i just try to hire an expert in setting up campaigns? And where do i find someone like that?

I've learned some pretty cool tricks in Google Analytics to compare keyword performance in adwords. I left out some bad performing keywords that way.

You can do this by logging in to analytics and go to traffic sources and select a keyword that drives you traffic, after that click the square symbol 'comparison' and check how to keyword is performing to the average stats for keywords that lead to traffic to your website.

You can compare your keywords on
    Visits/avg ; pages/visit ; average time on site ; % new visits ; bounce percentage.

You can check these stats per keyword.

Hopefully that helps you with your campaign although it might not help you getting to pay less for your niche ...

Why did you set your BID so high when you knew the bid of your biggest competitor is 0.06 ? You should set it very lower than $1.25 per click when you were aware of the situation of this keyword and competitors.

Because i only know his domain and some of his keywords. Not nearly enough about what geo he uses, what placement targets etc. So im trying to find that out. Not sure how to do this either to be honest.

I set the keyword to $1.25 max. to see how the conversions went, and to make sure my placement would be above his.

I tried spyfu (the free thingie), but when searching for his domain it didnt even popup and said it didnt have ppc campaigns.

    Frank,

Thank you to the sharing. I'll try this also. But I have question, the account of ADWORDS and ANALYTICS should be 1 account or can we have with different account (2 accounts). Thank you pal.

    Regards,
