Free niche tool Traffic Travis does all the job for me, but it lacks SOC tool. I searched this forum and google for free SOC tool, but did not find any.

So, is there any free SOC tool? After all it's just a tool that calculates mathematical formula.

I just use SeoQuake and do it manually. I like to take a look myself anyway rather than relying on someones 'formula'.

So you type your term in google, and after results show up, you check each site for keyword density? Check for anything else? How many site do you check - first 10 or more?

Nope, don't care about density. Check PR for first 3 results, check links in for first 3, check if keyword phrase in in the title of the first 3 results. Check the other results on page 1, if there are pages from article or social sites or lower quality stuff and have few links to the page then it's good.

free version has some limitation, which should concern you IMHO if you attack market with a lot of competition. so far I had no problem

PS. still cannot post links. sorry

I really liked the speed of Traffic Travis.

But sometimes, its accuracy is questionable.

TT is also one of the fastest keyword tool that I know of. It just feels so much faster to click around it. Definitely far from clunky.
