Fantastic forum you gents have here, there is a wealth of information.
I am a bit overwhelmed and interested in where I should start? (on page optimization, off page optimization,
link building etc). Does the 80/20 rule apply to seo? Should I focus 80% of my resources on one key area?
If so which is that? Appreciate any advice you can provide, thankyou.

If you are looking for adsense, then focus on keywords, if you are looking to promote cpa, then focus on cpa offers and build content according to offers.

Start with on page SEO, then go on adding good unique content, work on link building.
If you have time look at social media, facebook, twitter... Hope this helps

I'd concentrate with on page optimisation to start with, then submit your website to the search engines, then relevant (non-spammy) directories, then finally some social marketing to increase product/website awareness.

If your website's design and development is ready with proper content and there is no broken links and changes left then start SEO by doing on-page optimization after that you can start off-page optimization and link building

Start from researching it meanss keyword research, domain research and article research. Then move on to the on site SEO then see natural rankings. Afterwords start link building. That is called off site SEO.

According to my opinion, its better to make some back links first, then use social networks to give some popularity to your site, then start doing seo

I might think about making the text much more appealing. Use those keywords in the text, 3- 4 times each, in natural sentences. Put it high up on the page, right now the robot has a TON of javascript, flash etc.. to go thru to get to a few dribs of text. Remember, the robots read the text only....
Then you should also use some text links at the bottom fro the robots to crawl, they may have a tough time crawling the rollovers. It is also better for overall useability. Robots also cannot read the links in the flash buttons at all... so once it gets to the page, it has nowhere to go, and very little food on the page to eat. You need to feed search engines TEXT! They live eat, breathe textual content. No content, no ranking. Easiest way is to put up her for text, a sales pitch... what you would have on a brouchure to "sell" the company.:p
