Yes in my experience, if the RSS feeds of the page your link resides is well syndicated to top quality RSS directories that is crawled by search engines bot, many times everyday.

If you have a list of sites your links resides in, you may want to create a bulk RSS in Icerocket and submit the RSS feed to the RSS directories, such as Feedagg, feedage and many others.

    All the best

I agree with olamilekan2 but indeed you have to bring your feed into the top RSS directories ;-)

Yes its effective but it depends on the quality of website in Google's eyes too. If Google likes your website, RSS feed causes it to be indexed faster but if your website doesn't get indexed usually, RSS feed can't help it too much.

Actually, I submitted 6 new pages on my 'money site' to Google, 3 weeks ago and it didn't index them yet. So I thought to convert those pages with HTML2RSS and submit to top RSS directories.

      Is that a good plan?

Submitting RSS feeds acts in a very similar way to having your blog pinged at something like pingomatic.com

Your site (with backlinks) will appear at the top of the directories, and because these directories are spidered often, your backlinks will get indexed more quickly than if you just left them to be found "naturally"

Does anybody knows about this trick/method where Google Alerts is used to somehow verify that back-links are indexed. I only heard about it, but I do not know how it works.

      Can somebody possibly explain?

Overall a RSS feed will help a little bit.
There is a product called Web Traffic Genius that automatically creates a RSS feed for each new post for your blog and sends the new RSS feed to many different RSS feed agregators automatically.
I emailed pingler about creating a RSS feed with like 20 different URLs and pingler will only ping the rss feed, not the 20 unique feeds in the rss feed so not to much indexing going on this way.
Check out Steve Aylors WSO about indexing. It seems to be the best thing I've found so far.
          Good Luck :-)
