.cc domains ranking high in Google?

Hello World. A few days ago I received an e-mail about .cc domains. It said that they rank really high in Google just like .coms do. I even looked it up on Wikipedia for the hell of it and it described it as the next .com.

Has anyone tested this? If this proves to be true, there are a lot of exact match .cc domains that are waiting to be snatched up. Only problem is that they're expensive - $30 a pop.

    If .cc was the next .com, well, what would you be seeing?
    .cc has been around a long time.

    .co was supposed to be the next "dot com" over last summer
    when it was opened up for general worldwide websites.

    Hardly.

    I don't know what people really mean by the "next dot com" anyway.

    we already have them: .net, .org, .info, .tv, .biz, .us, .whatever...

    I think you can optimize them and rank high for.cc domain without problem. I suggest you to register .com domain if you can but if you can't, you can register .cc domain and do the exact works that you do for a .com domain. Then this domain will be ranked high. I myself think domain extension doesn't has a great role for ranking results.
