ping every backlink ?

Sorry if this has been asked before but, I can seem to find the answer with search function or I just do not know how to use it properly.

I just created 25 profile backlinks and I was wondering should I ping each of them with pingomatic so that google can find them ?

It seems that I be creating those backlinks for nothing because I check my site in yahoo site explorer and they do not show up or does it just take time ?

Don't be too preoccupied with pinging all your backlinks, Google will find them eventually. What's important is putting a lot of quality contents on your site..

  You don't neccessarily have to put A LOT. If you're using a blog platform I guess you should, but I prefer HTML so once content is created... THAT'S THE SITE! And it's quality :p
  
  I typically save all the links to my backlinks in a text file and then run them through Fast Indexer which pings each URL to about 130 different sites. I also Meta Index each link, using 160-1000 different sites. Then, if I'm feeling really wily I'll create big ass RSS Feeds with all the links in them and blast them out to RSS aggregators! And ping them too! I want my backlinks!

i also here backlink energizer is a good tool to use for this sort of thing.
