We have to backlink the blog on the article to get them to our site Right? But I read to backlink the articles as well to get them to rank higher. How would you suggest to do this. Should you backlink both of them to each other because I thought is wasn't good to link both ways. If you were going to do one which would be more productive?

Call me dozy (which would actually be fair comment, today) but I don't understand what you're asking. What's "the blog on the article"? And are your "blog" and your "site" two different things, or one?

See if any of these few points helps ...

    (i) Reciprocal links (A links to B and B links to A) are very devalued by search engines because even an algorithm knows that that's probably an "incentivized" backlink rather than a "real" one

(ii) You should build backlinks primarily to your landing page, but additionally (maybe to a lesser extent) to your blog/site's inner pages, too

(iii) Build backlinks to copies of articles on your own blog/site, not to copies in article directories (this can be hugely important in the long run, otherwise you end up in a position in which article directories will permanently outrank your own site for your own keywords - not exactly "optimal"!)

(iv) Never backlink from the resource-box of an article in a directory/elsewhere to another copy of the same article on your site (of course - good way to lose readers!)

I think I get what you are asking. Why not do both?

Sorry for the confusion. Sometimes I have a hard time wording the question thats in my head. So I was asking if we should link "site A" to "article B" and "B" to "A". So I should backlink mostly to my landing page but also so some pages in the site and some to the articles. Right?

      Something like this, anyway.

I normally use my two resource-box links for the landing page and one inside page. So the landing page is getting half of all my links, and the other pages fewer (depending on how many of them there are).

Still not certain whether I've misunderstood you (my fault, not yours) ... but in case it needed saying (and if not, excuse me!): I wouldn't ever link from your site/blog to an article directory.
