hello
can someone help me with my keyword research, what is your criteria when looking for a good keyword. i.e. search count higher then , competition lower then, what type of keywords etc

    As a general rule you are looking for at least 3,000 searches per month for your KWP (keyword phrase).

    Obvioulsy the fewer results the better, if you can find something with less than 50,000 results returned from Google then it may be worth checking out.

    You also need to consider the strength of the results returned on the first page.

    If you want to know more then "traffic travis" provide some great free software that goes into it more and is newbie friendly.

      thankyou for your prompt replys, I have just bought a program, and in it they say a search count higher then 1,000, and a compettition lower then 50,000. The trouble is when I search most keywords they are all in the millions, are you talking about global competition?

        the article was very helpfull, thats why i was finding it difficult to get competition searches lower (I didnt use speach marks)

    when your are looking for a good keyword for your content you just need to go for the keyword with moderate competition even though it has low visitor count.
